Introduction

Sexual Harassment at workplaces is a topic currently not adequately discussed in sri lanka, but which has gained immense attention in other countries. Research indicates that 50% of workingwomen and 7% of working men are subjected to sexual harassment at workplace around the world. It is considered as an issue of health and safety at workplace, an issue of gender discrimination, a grievance problem of employees, a disciplinary management problem, an issue of international human resource management, an area of diversity management in organizations, and an important corporate social responsibility.
